This module has been put together to create a place for all the resources available to you as you, or your team, works on the Planned Change Process assignment.
I started by providing a NURS 440 Planned Change Process Resource Module Review Video to help you understand the resources available to you.
After that, I provided the NURS 440 Mustang Nursing Learning Team Compact Review Video that will guide you through the completion of the NURS 440 Mustang Nursing Learning Team Compact Form. For those of you choosing to work in teams, this will be helpful. I have also provided an outline to use (if you want to take notes) while you watch the video. I have also provided the actual NURS 440 Mustang Nursing Learning Team Compact Form here for you as well as the Assignment Dropbox where the form can be placed.
Next, I am providing the Planned Change Process Rubric Review Video and Outline along with the grading rubric for the assignment. This rubric will guide you throughout this assignment.
Following that, I’d like to provide some resources for you within this module guide to assist you in the creation of the framework of your Poster.
1) Poster Templates available in Planned Change Process Resource Module
2) Sample poster available in Planned Change Process Resource Module
3) The Purdue University provides resources to assist you in preparing for your Poster. Within the following links, you will find the Purdue Online
Writing Lab –
4) Some Tips for an Electronic Poster for the Planned Change Process assignment
· Use the 36 by 48 inch templates provided.
· Use easy to read font, such as Arial and Times New Roman. Use only one font.
· Use images as appropriate. Copyright friendly images are available at:
· Royalty free pictures
· Be sure to use small amounts white space. A poster that is too crowded is not appealing to the eye, but large blank spaces are also not appropriate.
· Avoid red and green colors (red/green colorblindness)
· Use left align text for each column.
· Use bullet points
· The font should be large size. Note: this will depend on the template style you use!
· Too many words—such as paragraphs- are not effective on a poster. A poster is not a mini paper. Use key phrases and words.
· Be sure to proofread the poster
· Use spell check
· Use the rubric for ideas of what should be in each heading (content)
· Use all of the following headings, adding your content to the sections:
· Introduction
· Description of the health care setting
· Description of those impacted by change
· Communication networks
· Planned change process
· Justification for change
· Managing resources
· Conclusion
· Include citations and reference list
(Hint: if there is not enough room on poster for entire reference list, you may make a note on your poster that references are available upon request. You will then need to create a word document of your reference list to include when you submit your assignment.)
Additionally, I provided information about how to use Permalinks so your team can
share articles safely while working on your assignment.
Lastly, I’d like to remind you of the APA formatting resources available to you. I have provided some APA formatting resources in the NURS 440 table of contents. There are additional resources in the RN to BSN Program Information Center and at the SMSU McFarland Library.
I really encourage you to utilize these as you prepare your presentation.
I hope you find this Resource Module helpful to guide you through the Planned Change Process assignment.
