I am a stickler for good organization in everything. I do not want to have to dig for your answers. For instance, if an assignment asks you to provide three examples of something, I suggest that you number them 1-3 so I can find them easily. I also expect that when you submit something as a narrative, you pay attention to how you organize your thoughts: use paragraphs with a topic sentence and supporting sentences; and change paragraphs whenever you introduce a new idea. Also, if there are multiple parts to an assignment, use sub-heads within the paper to organize them.
To get maximum points you need to follow the requirements listed for this assignments 1) look at the word/page limits 2) review and follow APA rules 3) create subheadings to identify the key sections you are presenting and 4) Free from typographical and sentence construction errors.

When creating a culture of health, one must consider the impact of racism, discrimination, and ethnicity on a community’s well-being. This assignment requires research on a public health situation that highlights examples related to these factors. Additionally, it asks us to evaluate how public health leaders handled the situation and whether or not we agree with their approach. Finally, we need to consider how to address the issue using the principles of servant leadership and our personal leadership style.
One example of a public health situation related to racism, discrimination, and ethnicity is the disproportionate number of African Americans dying from COVID-19. Studies indicate that African Americans are disproportionately affected by COVID-19, with higher death rates than other racial/ethnic groups in the United States. This situation is related to racism and discrimination as a result of systemic inequalities that African Americans face, including access to healthcare, living conditions, and employment opportunities.
I agree that public health leaders have not done enough to address this disparity. Initial response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States was slow, with a lack of testing, PPE, and clear communication. Public health officials need to acknowledge the social determinants of health that create such disparities and work to address them through policies and interventions that target vulnerable populations.
If I were a leader in this community, first, I would acknowledge the issue of racial disparities in COVID-19 deaths and develop communication strategies to inform community members about the seriousness of the pandemic and how to protect themselves. Second, I will gather data to identify the most vulnerable members of the community and create policies that would address their needs, such as access to affordable housing, healthcare, and healthy food options.
In conclusion, addressing public health issues related to racism, discrimination, and ethnicity requires a comprehensive approach that prioritizes understanding the social determinants of health and designing interventions that address them. Incorporating the tenets of servant leadership, such as identifying vulnerable group members and developing protective policies, could significantly help address these issues.
