The first part of this assignment will be to write a 1,000-word (minimum) situational report on the conflict. This will require you to go beyond what we read in the textbook and conduct your own research. In this situational report, you’ll want to address the following areas: location of the conflict, historical background of the conflict, major players-leaders, political parties, organizations, etc. in the conflict, their views, and the source of conflict. Double space the paper in 12-point Times New Roman font with one inch margins. Be certain to have a works-cited list and use citations in your paper, both in APA format. A minimum of 4-5 sources should be used. Only one encyclopedia is permitted, digital or otherwise but you will lose points if it is heavily relied upon. Use international agency websites, quality news sources or Central Penn’s online database to secure the use of good sources. Just using a search engine like Google will not necessarily lead to finding quality sources.
